How the scores on this site are produced
Every number here is computed from recorded facts about an operator rather than assigned by an editor. That means a score moves when the register moves, not when someone changes their mind, and it means you can check the arithmetic.
The weighting

| Registration standing | 30% | How long the operator has held its registration, whether a registration number is published against it, and whether the Registrar has taken enforcement action. An operator three years into a clean registration is a different proposition from one three months in. |
| Withdrawal speed | 25% | The median time for the operator’s quickest Canadian method. Registration guarantees you get paid; it says nothing about when. |
| Size of the floor | 20% | Slot and live table counts, weighted so that live tables count for more, because they are harder to run and cost more to license. |
| Player protections | 15% | Self-exclusion, deposit limits and the certifications an operator has gone out and obtained beyond the minimum the province requires. |
| Reaching a human | 10% | A published telephone line scores above chat, and chat scores above an email address that answers in three days. |
What we refuse to do
We do not rank on the size of a welcome offer. A large bonus behind a 50x playthrough is worth less than a small one with none, and ordering a list by headline number would mean recommending the operators that are worst at paying out.
We do not list an unregistered operator as an option. Sites outside the register appear on this site only where the point is the warning. There is no commercial arrangement behind that rule and it costs us money.
We do not claim to have deposited our own money at every operator. Withdrawal figures here are medians drawn from market reporting and player accounts, described as exactly that. Affiliate sites that claim to have personally timed two hundred cashouts are, in our experience, describing something that did not happen.
How this site is funded
When you open an account through a link here, the operator may pay us. That arrangement exists with some registered operators and not others, and it has no input into the score, the order of the register or whether an operator is listed at all. The scoring formula above is published precisely so that a paid placement would be visible as an inconsistency.
Operators cannot buy a review, a position or a change to their compliance checks. Where an operator disputes something we have published, the correction goes on the corrections page with its date.
Where our data comes from
Registration standing is mirrored from the iGaming Ontario operators directory and dated at the point we copied it. Bonus terms are read from each operator's own terms page. Withdrawal times are medians compiled from market reporting. Game counts come from the operator's own lobby. None of it is scraped in real time, so all of it carries a date rather than pretending to be live.
